Sunshyne ("we", "us", "the app") is a personal caregiver app designed for elderly users and their families. Your privacy and dignity matter to us. This page explains, in plain language, what the app collects and what it does not.
What stays on your device
Most of what you put into Sunshyne — your photos, food lists, medication notes, music favorites, feelings entries, family contacts, and TV picks — is stored only in your phone's browser (local storage). We do not upload it. We do not see it. If you clear your browser data, that information is removed.
What is sent to a service
AI Magic Photos: When you choose to transform a photo, that image and your prompt are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini, via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate the result. The image is processed to create the new picture and is not used to train any model.
Watch Party: Video rooms use Jitsi Meet. Audio and video are streamed peer-to-peer through Jitsi's servers while the call is active and are not recorded by Sunshyne.
Be Annoying & Call Family: These features open your phone's built-in Phone or Messages app. Sunshyne does not place the call or send the message itself — your phone does, using your normal carrier.
What we never do
- We do not sell or share your information with advertisers.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not read your other apps, messages, or contacts.
- We do not use your photos or entries to train AI models.

Children
Sunshyne is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13.
